Fundamentals

Read a company's Income, Balance, and Cashflow statements as reported, then trace how one line item moved over time or how the pieces of a total fit together.

What it does04
01

This is where you go to check what a company actually reported, not a derived ratio or a smoothed metric — the raw statement, period by period.

02

The Table view is for reading the filing itself. The Graphs view is for seeing structure — how revenue breaks down into cost, or what actually moved cash — that a column of numbers hides.

03

Use the drill-down on any row when a single line item's trend matters more than the whole statement — did R&D grow faster than revenue, is a liability shrinking or just being refinanced.

04

Annual gives you the shape of the business across cycles; Quarterly gives you the pace of change and where a trend inflected.

Views07
Annual

Use this to judge the business over a full cycle — one clean number per year, without seasonal noise.

Quarterly

Use this to catch inflection points and seasonality that annual figures average away.

Income

Answers whether the company is actually making money, and on what — revenue, what it costs to earn it, and what's left.

Balance

Answers what the company owns, what it owes, and what's left for shareholders at a single point in time.

Cashflow

Answers where cash actually came from and went — the check on whether reported profit is real cash or just accounting.

Table

Read the statement the way it was filed — precise values, every line, comparable period over period.

Graphs

See the shape of the statement instead of its numbers — where revenue goes, what's driving a balance, what actually moved cash.

How you use it05
01

Switch Table and Graphs to move between exact filed values and the shape of the same statement.

02

Hover any node, slice, or bar in Graphs for its exact value.

03

Click a row's chart icon to pull that one line item out and follow it across every available period, either as raw values or period-over-period change.

04

Switch Annual and Quarterly to change the time scale you're reading the statement at.

05

Screenshot any chart to save it out of the tool.
