Read a company's own disclosures instead of someone else's summary of them — find the filing, then read what management was actually required to say.
Primary-source disclosure beats any paraphrase of it: a 10-K's actual risk-factors language, or an 8-K's exact wording on an event — read it here and you're arguing from what was legally said, not someone's summary.
Filter by ticker, form type, and date to cut a company's filing history down to the one disclosure relevant to your question — you rarely need to read everything filed, just the item tied to the event you care about.
Once inside a filing, work it like the long legal document it is: jump to a section, search for a term or figure, and pull an exhibit when the main text points elsewhere, rather than scrolling a flat page top to bottom.
Search a ticker to narrow the filings list to one company; clear the search to widen it back out.
Open the form-type filter to pick which filings matter for your question — 10-K for the annual picture, 8-K for a specific event — and the date filter to bound it to a period; each has its own Apply.
Click a filing to open it in the viewer; step through further results with Prev/Next once you're done with one.
Inside the viewer, switch between Files, Search, ToC, and Share to move through exhibits, hunt for a term, jump to a section, or hand someone the link.
Click a document in the Files list, or a sub-document listed inside a raw-text filing, to change what's rendered.
