A scratchpad for the arithmetic that has no home — position sizing, WACC, free cash flow, terminal value, bond yields, expected moves — answered on typed inputs without opening a full tool.
Holds 98 named functions across eleven families, driven by a command bar: type a function name and fill a short form, or type the whole calculation on one line and get the answer without a form at all.
Answers from what you type. It never reaches for a peer set, a price history, or a forecast — which is why an answer here can differ from the same-named number in VRP, CAST, or BND.
The calculation you are editing is the live block at the top; everything you log prints beneath it and stays there, so a session's reasoning remains visible and any step can be reopened or reloaded.
The family selector sets what the browse list shows and what the input defaults are — the scale money fields are entered in, and which vintage prefilled figures come from. It does not filter the command bar, which always searches all 98 functions.
One card renders every function. A segmented strip appears when a function has more than one calculation route — FCFF from EBIT or from cash flow, terminal value by Gordon or by exit multiple — and swaps the field set to match.
Functions that can be inverted show a solve-for row. TVM solves for any of five fields, CAGR for three, put-call parity for whichever leg is missing; most functions run one direction only and show no row at all.
Everything logged, newest first and one line each. Clicking a line opens its derived values; the pencil reloads it into the live block. Copying a line, or chaining it with `ans`, carries full precision rather than the rounded figure on screen.
Type a function name, an abbreviation, or an alias — `fcf` finds FCFF, `ke` finds the CAPM cost of equity, `2and20` finds carry and hurdle.
Type a whole calculation on one line to skip the form: `wacc E=2.1t D=110b re=8.4 rd=4.9 t=21`. Argument names match a field, or an unambiguous prefix of one.
Press Enter on a finished card — or the Log button — to print it to the roll; press Enter in the bar with a query typed to load the highlighted function instead.
Use `ans` in a typed argument to chain the previous answer at full precision. Press ⌘K, Ctrl+K, or / to return focus to the command bar; Esc clears what you have typed, and pressing it again resets the card.
Open a card's advanced expander to reach optional refinements, and change the scale selector to enter money in thousands, millions, or billions — the choice sticks per function.
